Mix and mingle with some of the best voices in contemporary fiction at this very special event! Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction Gala with an evening of original readings on the timely theme “Promises, Promises.” Afterwards, step inside the Folger Shakespeare Library’s historic Old Reading Room, rarely open to the public, for a black-tie dinner. Authors include Melissa Bank, Amiri Baraka, Richard Bausch, Sylvia Brownrigg, Christopher Buckley, H.G. Carrillo, Alan Cheuse, Debra Magpie Earling, Francisco Goldman, Andrew Sean Greer, Anthony Grooms, Terry McMillan, and Patricia Volk.
Proceeds benefit the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, which recognizes the best published works of American fiction each year and is the country’s largest peer-juried fiction prize.
PEN/Faulkner would like to thank Nissan North America for its generous support of this year’s event.
