Amy Bloom is the author of two novels, two collections of short stories, and is a nominee for both the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her most recent work is the novel Away, and her first book of nonfiction, Normal: Transsexual CEOs, Crossdressing Cops, and Hermaphrodites with Attitude, is an exploration of the varieties of gender. She lives in Connecticut and teaches at Yale University. |

Susan Choi is the author of the novels, The Foreign Student and American Woman, a finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize and for the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Fiction Award. She also co-edited Wonderful Town: New York Stories from The New Yorker, an anthology of New Yorker fiction, with David Remnick. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her family.
