Founding Friends

As a member of Founding Friends, you can join PEN/Faulkner for a series of six lunch-time gatherings with prominent writers held in exquisite private homes. Run by former board member Willee Lewis, our Founding Friends program supports PEN/Faulkner’s mission to celebrate literature and foster connections between readers and writers, including our education programs, which provide author visits, free books, and writing instruction to low-income DC schools.

Donors who contribute $500 or more per individual, or $1000 or more per couple, are invited to attend our Founding Friends events. Memberships are non-transferable. Renewals are annual.

PEN/Faulkner is honored to have the steadfast support of the DC Scottish Rite, which has been essential to the ongoing success of our Founding Friends program.
