Tessa Houstoun (she/her/hers)
Youth Writers Camp Assistant Director
Tessa is a recent graduate of Wesleyan University, where she studied Studio Art and Critical Theory. She has worked as a production designer on independent films and as a freelance artist. After graduation, Tessa wanted to deepen and further her understanding of DC education policy while also combining her passion for creativity with a hands-on approach. Since joining PEN/Faulkner in October 2017, Tessa has assisted in expanding the Writers in Schools programming and its encouragement of reading and writing as creative outlets. She hopes to continue contributing to PEN/Faulkner’s advocacy of literacy and a love of literature.
