Kara Chiles

Kara Chiles is a senior digital product executive for Gannett, the nation’s largest news network. Her career covers a range of award-winning digital product and content experiences for mission-driven brands including USA TODAY, Whole Foods Market and WebMD. In her current role, Kara leads the full product lifecycle of consumer experiences across a network of more than 230 markets. Previously, Kara led Whole Foods Market’s brand content operation, resulting in recognition from the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and transforming its digital content strategy and audience connection. She also leveraged her expertise to expand the dissemination of trusted, authoritative content, guiding WebMD’s health experts and newsletter programs. Her commitment to literacy and the accessible exchange of knowledge is underscored by her current service on the Loudoun County Public Library board of trustees, and her educational background including a Master’s degree in Information Management from Syracuse University and Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University. Kara lives in northern Virginia with her husband and dog.
