The Lit Show

The Lit Show—think The Late Show, but with writers—is an annual celebration of DC’s literary community co-hosted by PEN/Faulkner and The Inner Loop. Held at the charming Keegan Theatre, The Lit Show features a dazzling lineup of local fiction authors; they’ll read from their latest book, sit down for an interview about their writing life, and top off the evening with a round of literary trivia. After the show, guests are invited to a warm, casual reception in the Keegan’s lobby with a pop-up bookshop and cash bar.

This year’s Lit Show spotlights five stellar fiction writers: Alice McDermott (Absolution), Hasan Dudar (Carryout), Shannon Sanders (The Great Wherever), Shelagh Powers Johnson (A History of Existing Life), and Susie Dumond (Bed and Breakup).
