Our literary programs feature the work of a wide variety of accomplished contemporary fiction writers: everything from novels and short stories to film adaptations. Community is central to PEN/Faulkner, so we work tirelessly to curate in-person and virtual programs that bring writers and readers together in celebration of literature. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with your favorite writers and discuss their vital work.

Our Literary Conversations bring together highly-acclaimed writers to discuss the urgent issues that surround their work and let literature serve as a springboard for civil discourse.
Deep Dives
In our Deep Dives, members of the PEN/Faulkner community come together for an in-depth virtual discussion, led by a contemporary author, about books that have made an impact on our culture.
Literary Garden Party
Our Literary Garden Party is a DC gathering that will bring together more than 200 authors and readers for an inspired afternoon celebrating our local literary community with food, drink, and rousing speeches from our featured authors.
