The Lit Show

In the fall of 2025, we were delighted to announce The Lit Show, a new talk show-style event celebrating DC’s vibrant literary community hosted by PEN/Faulkner and The Inner Loop. For the star-studded premiere, we invited each of our featured authors—Susan Coll, Nick Rees Gardner, Varun Gauri, Timothy Janovsky, and Angie Kim—to read an excerpt from their latest book and then sit down for a short, fun interview about their reading and writing life. Afterwards, audience members mingled with authors and book lovers at an informal reception with a cash bar, and East City Bookshop was on-site selling each featured title. We all enjoyed fun and games, good conversation, and a great literary time!
