Internships
Our internships offer an introduction to literary nonprofits, from education outreach and community engagement to public programming, data-driven evaluation, and more. From day one, our interns are given hands-on responsibilities that prepare them for a career in the arts, arts administration, nonprofit educational programming, or publishing. Please see individual internship descriptions for more information on compensation, application deadlines, and how to apply.
I couldn’t have asked for anything better
“For this to have been my first internship experience as a young adult, I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. I just felt as though that working with PEN/Faulkner allowed me to be myself. I was able to delve into all aspects of literature and share more about the literary communities I’m personally a part of. I was given the space to be unapologetically bookish!”
Natalie, Spring 2020
A great experience if you love literature
“Working at PEN/Faulkner is a great experience, especially if you have a love of literature! They are a friendly staff, and the opportunity to volunteer at Literary Events is really enjoyable. You will enjoy it and learn a lot!”
